The milestones are not so obvious here, but if you know the story, you know that milestone moments are very near or very closely associated with the moments listed here. For example, inciting incident: Harry is only at the Weasley's to tell Ron he likes the Burrow because Ron and brothers rescued him in the flying Anglia. They had to rescue him because Dobby had gotten him grounded. Dobby got him grounded in order to keep him away from Hogwarts. Dobby wanted to keep Harry away from Hogwarts because the Chamber of Secrets was going to be opened.
And the series starts off right with all the right kinds of stuff in all the right places.
This chart attempts to find series-level milestones at even intervals by page. It appears to work. However...
Yes, of course she used milestones.
A little less obscure.
Some reworking may be in order here, too.
I'll have to redo this one a bit. Some of the summaries are so obscure, even I don't remember what made them significant.
Can you see the milestones tonight? Scroll down to the bottom of this post for links to milestone charts for the three volumes of Ms. Clarke's opus.
This lady has the right idea: less output, more quality.
